Mission
 
The Dillon Center for Children is dedicated to the development, education, and care of children ages 6 weeks-12 and therefore, provides quality, developmentally appropriate early childhood and school-age programs.  The experiences that are offered will foster the growth and development of each child in a safe, nurturing environment.

Before and After School Program:
Barstow Elementary School Boundary, transfers may be granted by CCPS due to child care needs.  Check out Barstow Elementary School's website to find out more about the school--a GREAT place for kids

Academic Practice Sessions [maintain current skills & continue making progress during school vacations and throughout the summertime]
 
  • Owner, Kathleen Hogan, has an advanced professional teaching certificate in early childhood education and has a Master's degree in Teacher Leadership.  She is a teacher at Barstow Elementary School, and is also at the Dillon Center daily.  She is directly involved with the day to day operation of the Center.
 
  • Highly motivated and qualified teachers and assistants--all are involved in continuous professional development.  More than the minimum annual trainings and workshops are expected to ensure the best practices in early pedagogy are implemented. 
 
  • All teachers and assistants are certified in CPR & First Aid, and have been trained in Emergency Preparedness & Medication Administration
 
  • Maryland State Department of Education approved curriculum
 
Hours
Monday - Friday: 5:30AM - 6:30PM
*hours may change to accommodate the community's needs and upon licensing agency's approval.  Call if your needs require an earlier start OR a later pick up in the evenings
